Shari Reffi, CVT, SDEP® Certified Clinical Sonographer & Instructor

Shari always had a passion for animals. While growing up in Bergen County, NJ she enjoyed her family dogs, cats and bird, she rode her pony all over town and showed horses.

She began working in the small animal veterinary field in 1985 while she was first pursuing a degree in Exercise Science at BCC. She then worked for 4-years in the human medical field for Datascope in the Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump division and then in the Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) division in R&D alongside engineers where she was instrumental in the development of their guide wires before she went back to veterinary medicine for good.

She achieved her Veterinary Technician Certification in 2000. Shari enjoyed utilizing her skills in all aspects of general practice with a special interest in imaging. After attending an SDEP® ultrasound training course she was performing in-house ultrasounds for a couple of years before she embraced the challenge of going mobile with SonoPath in 2019.

Shari currently resides on a small farm in Sussex County, N.J. with her fiancé Chris and an array of animals including horses, chickens, rabbits, and their fun-loving dog “Banjo”. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, kayaking, horseback riding, biking, exploring national parks, reading, photography, cooking and showing chickens.
